I have three wonderful guitars that I play regularly. From left to right in the photo are my Lowden 025 made in 1994, my Thomas Prisloe classical made in 1996 and my Tom Bills Genesis custom made for me in 2004. The Lowden has a Western Red Cedar top and Indian Rosewood back and sides and has the characteristic clear ringing sound of a Lowden. The Prisloe has an Englemann Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides and is built on a Hauser design, with a smallish body but with a very big and balanced sound. The Bills has a flamed Redwood top and flamed Claro Walnut back and sides and has Kasha style bracing and a side soundhole with none on the top. The sound to the player is amazing and inspiring. This guitar has a very piano-like sound and has wonderful sustain.
